Q: What is the carat weight?
A: The carat weight of diamonds used in Start-to-Finish's links are 7 point and 10 point, or .07 and .10 of a carat, respectively.
Q: What is each link made of?
A: Each link is made of white or yellow 14k gold.
Q: What is a snake chain?
A: A snake chain is a flexible, tubelike bracelet with a wavelike pattern. Ours serves as a gold-filled, temporary placeholder for links. Portions of the snake chain the length of your link are removed each time a link is added until there is no more chain, only a solidly constructed link bracelet.
Q: What is the color, cut, and clarity of the diamonds?

Q: How big are the diamonds and how many are there?
A: Diamonds range from 2.7 to 3 millimeters in diameter. The number and size varies by style so check the individual product descriptions.
Q: Are the diamonds registered/certified?
A: No, diamond certification is for the big daddies—over a carat, for instance. At this size, it's not necessary.
Q: How can I be assured of bracelet quality?
A: The manufacturer has a 3-part quality control inspection process to ensure that each item is in mint condition before it is shipped to you. Along with your purchase, you also receive the manufacturer's 30-day warranty.
Q: Why are your prices less than in retail stores?
A: No building, no rent, no sales associates, no problem.
Q: Why do your prices change?
A: All jewelry prices everywhere change based on the exchange rate of gold and diamond prices.
Q: How often do your prices change?
A: When the manufacturer adjusts prices, so do we. We try to keep our products as affordable as possible while remaining profitable, like all good businesses.
Q: How do I add links to the bracelets?
A: DiamondLinkBracelets.com permanently adds links to your bracelet. To purchase a new link and have it installed, here’s what to do:
  • Select the bracelet style from the online store, choose "Single link, installed" as the Product Type, and add to cart.
  • Once you’ve checked out, print a copy of your receipt for inclusion with your bracelet.
  • Prepare shipment per Mailing Details in the User’s Manual.
  • Send to DLB Fulfillment Center, P.O. Box 43843, Birmingham, AL 35243. (Yes, it’s that easy.)
Q: Can I order a link from you and add it myself?
A: Hmmm, it depends. If you want the warranty to be effective, best to have us add the link. If you want to order a separate link, you can, but you should have a professional jeweler install the link. They will have the proper materials and experience for correct installation. They may also charge you. You'll need to select the "Single link, uninstalled" product category within the store.
Q: How do I clasp my bracelet correctly?
A: Please follow the instructions in the manual. Here’s a quick recap:
  • Make sure the safety is in the “up” position, tucked away inside the clasp
  • Slip the D-ring onto the arm of the clasp, close to the safety
  • Ensure that the D-ring is not nestled in one of the two grooves
  • Snap the clasp gently in place, but if you notice any resistance, take it from the top again!
Q: What size bracelets are available?
A: We carry both seven and eight inch bracelets (referred to as size 7 and 8 on the site). If you need a custom size adjustment, please contact us.
Q: I’m giving the bracelet as a gift. How do I determine whether to buy a size 7 or 8?
A: There are 4 options here:
  • Secret Agent Style: Armed with a miniature tape measure or other device, slip into her jewelry box undetected. Scan items for a bracelet or watch with a clasp (not a bangle). Observe its position carefully so as to return it exactly. With a gloved hand, extract the item, lay it on a flat surface, measure, and return. If the item is more than 7", you will need a size 8 and will need to have it cut down; otherwise size 7 will do. Remove glove and nonchalantly return to the soiree.
  • The Meticulous Method: This requires recipient participation but ensures an exact decision. If you have a flexible measuring tape as used for sewing, use that and wrap it around to a comfortable spot to find the measurement. Otherwise, take a piece of string, twine, or ribbon and place it loosely around her wrist. Let both ends hang down to where they meet to where she is comfortable wearing it. Cut the cord at that point, lay it on a flat surface, and measure. If the item is more than 7", you will need a size 8 and will need to have it cut down; otherwise size 7 will do. What you do with the rest of the roll is up to you.
  • The "Fuh-get-About-It Way": Order a 7" (the most popular size) and forget about it. Make arrangements to return it within 30 days if it doesn't work out.
  • The Minimalist Approach: Order a single link and present that as a gift, to keep the element of surprise. Then, follow the Meticulous Method post-gifting.
Q: What if the measurement is greater 8"?
A: Not to worry! Email us with the exact measurement and the style you want.
Q: What if the bracelet I bought is too small?
A: No problem! Simply complete our return form to obtain a Return Authorization number and exchange it within 30 days of purchase. Include the exact measurement in the space provided for details regarding your return. Be sure to print and include your confirmation page with your shipment.
Q: What if the bracelet I bought is too big?
A: This is an easy fix. Any local jeweler should be able adjust the size of the snake chain for you at no charge. The manufacturer has recommended jewelers listed here. If you'd like us to do it for you, no problem. Complete the return form and include the exact measurement in the space provided for details regarding your return; we'll hook you up with detailed instructions via email. Be sure to print and include your confirmation page with your shipment.
Q: How do I care for my bracelet?
A: Care instructions are simple: Treat it like the fine jewelry item that it is! This means every 6 months you should clean it and have it inspected by a professional jeweler to ensure diamonds are snug and secure. Each time you send your bracelet to add new links, we will check the diamonds.

In addition, DO NOT:
  • wear it in the shower
  • Do dishes with it
  • Clean with any harsh chemicals while wearing it
  • Wear it all day, everyday whereby any of the above situations are likely
